Last preparationsby KroburgComment: Commenting only right now. What a beauty, a classic French, gaff-rigged fishing cutter from, I'd guess, the Normandy area or maybe Brest? A beautiful image. The hull design is very recognizably French with her straight stem, raked stern post and wonderful elliptical counter stern.
Keep coming back to it. Gave it a 10. |

The United Statesby banmornComment: Just commenting now. My family came home from Europe on her in 1960 (we crossed over on "America" in '57) and I remember her very fondly. I'm a member of the "SS United States Conservancy", contributing to her restoration. So this makes me feel happy. |
