Extraordinary reconstruction of the (very famous) original. It's not as harsh, and it's missing the expressive furrows of Capote's face, but still a real double-take for me. I'm not sure how to score it, frankly; for now, a 7 -- but I may change that. Good job, anyway, on its own terms.

Also the rock offshore to the left helps ground the composition: WITH it, it's not "centered" perceptually, WITHOUT it it would be too centered.

That's a typical Sea Scouts rowing craft, and you have quite a few of them with different organizations on SF Bay. Whether this one's affiliated with Cal or not I couldn't sy. Do you have another shot that shows better the graphic on the prow? Gave you an 8, BTW. We photographed youths trying to row a very similar boat unbder stern adult guidance at Kotor, Montenegro. They are universal :-)
