Just Another Paddleby TumbleweedComment: Congrats on your new Personal Best! We just did an Alaska trip that included kayaks, so I can relate to this one. Antarctica's on my bucket list... |

Birdseedby npaselComment: There's a primitive sort of power here; the image reeks of it. The arc of grey is most felicitous. The composition is a bit too static and working against the power of the image, I think. |

Tal, unfilteredby mitalapoComment: Utterly timeless. I keep returning to it. I am distracted by the little light spot upper left, and by a bit too much of nothing at the bottom, but these are quibbles. I want to know her. I want to hear her story. I gave this a 9. Roots Embraceby Donna-DeeComment: This is one of my highest scores; I gave it a 9. The embrace of stone and root is tangible metaphor of the power of life. I find the image gripping, and no pun is intended. You could have processed it with a tad more density and enhanced the power even more, but it's a fine and well-seen image. I gave you a 9. |

Jump by snsComment: Technically, this ain't all that: The light zones are half a stop to a stop blown, and the effect is not what I'd want it to be. But the image is nevertheless arresting, and I keep coming back to it.I like that only one foot of the four is grounded. I worry about the boy leaping in his thongs, which aren't the most stable of footwear. I want to know the backstory here. And for that I gave it a 9. |

My friend, Peterby DennisheckmanComment: The DOF and the B/W processing are both immaculate here. The character looks rather enigmatic. I see compassion, and I see aloofness. I admire the image, and gave it a 9. |
