Torn Blue Paper by clickodakComment: This one hits the mark in a thoroughly endearing, minimalist manner. I'd already voted you a 10, commenting now. My best in show pick. |

In The Woodby rooumComment: Eerie as hell! I'm quite captivated by it, and the washed-out dark tones. The centered position of the child enhances the sense of oppressiveness. I only wish the green lichens on the right-most trees weren't drawing my eye away. |

Afterglowby NeilComment: The title recalls to me this Frost poem:
In winter in the woods alone
Against the trees I go.
I mark a maple for my own
And lay the maple low.
At four o̢۪clock I shoulder axe
And in the afterglow
I link a line of shadowy tracks
Across the tinted snow.
I see for Nature no defeat
In one tree̢۪s overthrow
Or for myself in my retreat
For yet another blow. |

existences III by TiberiusComment: Whoa! This is simply stupendous. I'd love to have a 30x40 print of it :-) What the HECK is that platform halfway down the image and not far from the left edge? Feel free to PM me with info, you already have your 10 from me :-) |

Just Another Paddleby TumbleweedComment: Congrats on your new Personal Best! We just did an Alaska trip that included kayaks, so I can relate to this one. Antarctica's on my bucket list... |

Birdseedby npaselComment: There's a primitive sort of power here; the image reeks of it. The arc of grey is most felicitous. The composition is a bit too static and working against the power of the image, I think. |
