 When my left out and potentially left behind bird ended up on the left of the image I couldn't resist this title :-)

It is very entertaining to watch the birds when a newcomer lands in their midst. Quite predictably a wave of movement is propagated "down the line" as each bird, in turn, adjusts its position, bumping up against the next one before it then moves.

Credit for the idea of the large black frame goes to Robert, Bear_Music. I wasn't sure about the look, but in the spirit of trying something different once in a while, I decided to use it. The picture of the birds, which was a significant crop from the image shot did lose some definition in the process though, as picked up by Mariuca.

I need to remember to return camera settings to a more usual setting after a shoot. I'd been using a lower than usual ISO to achieve a "dizzy" blur. On my way home I saw the birds had gathered on the wires again in large numbers and stopped on the spur of the minute. Did not check the ISO until after these first few images.

Wow, I absolutely love this!!! The huge black frame is perfect, this is my top pick!
