Afterburnby ImagineerComment: A different sort of action. Beautiful image, strong contender. |

Breaking the Illusionby clarmoreComment: It's really hard to see this as "action", IMO, but it's immensely appealing and I score it well. I'd liek it better without the unfortunately-placed BG horse. Good luck with it. |

'tackle'by suemackComment: This is the "other" fine rugby picture. There's one that is a better capture of "action", showing mid-air bodies and a frozen ball, but this one is funny as hell and I've no doubt it will make top 10. |

Time to Ruckby scrum8Comment: Outstanding frozen action. facial expressions, position of the ball, are perfect. Lighting accentuates muscles of thigh, perfect. Should do very well. |

Polar Power @ 1/000 seconds!by docpjvComment: This is seriously outstanding. I'm not sure if it will meet some peoples' expectations of "action" , but it's a contender in my book. |

Viramundoby Vanessa 72Comment: I can't really take a sense of "abandoned" out of this shot. I've no doubt it's actually OF somethign abandoned, but it doesn't COMMUNICATE that to me, so I don't score it as high as I would in, say, a free study or an architecture challenge. |

The Old Rambin Placeby Kathryn8Comment: really nice framing of the composition here. the misty quality of it works well with the completely blown sky, which I'm sure there was little you could do about. Evocative and effective, serene and appealing. |
