Ridiculous title, trying to "convince" us this is metal, which goes without saying, but it doesn't affect my score. Nice shot, could be a little more contrast so the dark areas pop, well-composed.

I really, really wish you'd made this image at maximum allowable size. It's gonna get hurt in the voting cuz it's so small. I like it very much. If you don't know how to make sharp, 150kb jpgs at the 640-pixel DPC size, feel free to PM me for an explanation.

Simply gorgeous. The purity of the BG is marvelous, it's a living color and it is startling in its power. The "pose", of course, is to die for. Nice work!

I'm very happy this won; I love those birds, and I love the pure, intricate detail of this shot. Add in that there's something startlingly human about this bird's "expression", and you managed to capture the hearts of the voters with a very simple, disarmingly simple, image. Congrats!

Mondo Bizarro. Reminds me of what our images looked like whenw e physically manipulated Sx-70 polaroid images as they were developing, pushing the soft emulsion around. Really sweet.
