Breadwinner, mother of five by whiteroomComment: In many ways this is my favorite in the challenge, but it feels a little too harsh and edgy, possibly oversharpening but more likely a combination of other effects. It gets a high score from me, but it's IMO not quite what it could be. |

"Fairy Godmother"by espy2Comment: Nicely done. I can't say I'm overly fond of it, but it does amuse me and I can see the work and skill that went into it. |

Feed me Mother!by trainComment: Of the "animal mother" set, by far the best IMO, because it actually shows an act of motherhood. This is very nicely lit and captured; good luck with it :-) |

Check-eredby shaverComment: Shaver, I echo everything Becky said. I'd add that there's a certain ambiguity to this image that is pretty confusing. It would work better if, in some manner, the ambiguity were highlighted or emphasized. I'm referring to the TOPS of the chessmen "touching" the squares of the reflected board. I'm not sure how to make it work, but as executed the overall effect is visual confusion, and it doesn't really resolve well on closer examination.
Overall, a cleaner presentation, particularly in tonal values, would be a help. |

Night driveby floipComment: Hah! This is flawless. I hope it does well. I submitted what I thought was a flawless ducky months ago and was hammered. All my duckies have been hammered, but to be fair only one was flawless LOL. |

Square lightby EquilibristComment: I lopve this one, the deft minimalism of it. Lovely tones. I fear you are doomed, but wish you well, fellow-traveler. |
