The lighting confuses me. It's really dark on the subject, but there is a bright reflection on the bottom area of the guitar. I wish the lighting were brighter on the boy and guitar, but not with bright areas. If that makes sense. The background is good. Nothing distracting there. Good idea for the challenge, just wish it weren't so dark. ~Heather~

Well, focus is good. You got a lot of different textures in the shot. Your shirt, fingers, and the condom. The shadow from the condom though is distracting to me. Bad lighting. Cood connection to the challenge in my opinion. Not what I want to hang on my wall or anything, but good idea. ~Heather~

This shot is kind of busy. I do think though that it's a good resolution. The one thing that i noticed that kind of distracts for me is the fact that the sign in the background is backwards, like there is a mirror behind the alcohol. It distracts my attention away from the alcohol to try to figure out why it's backwards. lol. Anyway, good luck with your resolution. ~Heather~

Interesting photo, but without the title, I don't see how it fits into the challenge. I do like the lights, and the colors are good. I wonder though if playing with the saturation would bring out the colors even more.

This is really nit-picky, but the diagonal line toward the left side of the photo kind of bothers me. I'm wondering if it's because it isn't symetrical with the one on the left. The main subject of the photo is nice, and does make sense with your title to fit into the challenge well. An interesting twist to use candy for the challenge. ~Heather~

Very pretty. I love how the light reflects on the forground. The silhouetted background is also very pretty. This only seems to fit in with the challenge because of the title, but oh well. I think this was a hard challenge. Overall this is really beautiful. ~Heather~

Not quite sure what "new years resolution" this could be. The title doesn't even give me a clue. The photo is ok. Seems a little soft, but could just be from the snow flakes in front of the subjects. Guess my big thing is that I don't see how this fits into the challenge.

Are those shoes? I'm a little confused as to what I'm looking at here. I can't say that the subject matter is appealing to me. The very bright light almost dead center of your shot is a distraction to the subject, which I can't really figure out what IS the subject. The challenge was to take a pic of your subject that is more interesting after dark. Is that the people? Is that the shoes? the umbrellas?

I love flowers on black backgrounds. Some people hate it, but not me. You have some excellent color, and wonderful texture here. The only spot I'm finding a bit distracting is the petal that is fight above the green leaf inthe bottom left corner. It seems to be blurry, where the rest of the shot is nice and crisp focus. Not sure if that was your DOF, but I think it would have enhanced the shot just a bit to have that petal in focus as well. Otherwise, very nice lighting, and great close up.
