The challenge states that if you can identify it as an object, then it's not an abstract. I can clearly identify this, so I'm not really sure it meets the challenges idea of abstract, however, I do believe it is well done. The texture and detail are both good. Focus and clarity are excellent. And there is nothing distracting with the lighting. Overall really nice shot, just maybe not abstract enough for the challenge. ~Heather~

I clicked on the thumbnail, cause it wasn't interesting and I was gonna offer my opinion, however, when I clicked on the thumb, up popped this, which is actually full of interesting shapes and patterns. Nice focus, I like the lines behind the bubbles, and I like the pattern of the glass around the edges. Very nice abstract. ~Heather~

This is perfect in my opinion. I hope to see this on the main page come midnight tonight. VERY sharp looking. I like the abstractness. it really gives me a feel of depth, I like the black and whiteness. The lit ridge is wonderfully splitting the image in a very interesting way. I like how it's plain on one side, and then has that ball thing on the other. Definately abstract, and definately my favorite this challenge. Good luck in the challenge. ~Heather~

This is very nice. I like the splash of color, and the angle and framing/cropping are great as well. nice line placement and I like the diagonals. Not really much else to say. focus and clarity are really nice and I think that the lighting was in your favor. really good. i hope to see this up near the top this challenge. ~Heather~

From the challenge description. "If it is recognizable as an object - it is not an abstract" I can recognize this as an object, therfor to me, it's a little slow on meeting the challenge, however, it is a great photo non the less. Excellent focus and clarity and lighting is good. I like how it fills the entire photo and the patterns are nice. Overall a very nice shot. ~Heather~

I love it. I've only said that a few times this challenge, so I really hope this places up there in the top few. Anyway, I love the diagonal, the half and half is really nice. I like the abstractness, and the background is great, nothing distracting there. The detail is still there, even though it be abstract. Very nice placement of the subject and the cropping/framing is beautiful. Perfect 10 from me. ~Heather~

a red saturated napkin on a lenolium floor? Not quite sure about abstract, but I do think it's a great image. I love how you have placed the square on the floor within the frame. very nice placement there. the red really stands out, and while normally, a bloody looking napkin on the floor wouldn't be exciting, you have taken it in a interesting way. 2 things that stand out to me are the shadows. I kind of find them distracting, and there seems to be a solid object under the napkin, either that, or that section of napkin has shadow on it too, making that section look strange. I think you did a mostly good job with this photo. ~Heather~

Primary Colors

Except green isn't primary. Oh well, doesn't matter. I like this all except the funny texture on the yellow marble, and the fact that the yellow marble is almost all green. I would prefer if it were yellow more, that would balance it out a bit in my opinion. I do like the set up though. Another rare interesting abstract among the many colored blobs. ~Heather~

Love the lighting. The angle and framing/cropping is great. I like how you have placed your subject withing the frame. The diagonals are very nice. the one thing that stands out to me as very odd is that this seems to be a black and white image, however, there is color (reddish) in the bottom left corner. That small spot of color really draws me attention down to that corner, and kind of creates a distraction. Otherwise, nice abstract. ~Heather~

HA! it's a lava lamp. lol. I stared at this wondering what the heck it was, and then it hit me all at once. duh. Definately abstract with a twist. the color is great, and the lighting is what makes this photo. great abstract. really draws me in to look closer and your focus and clarity are really good as well. very nice. ~Heather~
