barbed wire futureby regretsoftodayComment: I saw this in the thumbnail, and thought it was a beautiful photo. I don't however think that your main subject would be considered 'extreme close up'. In a way, you prove my point for me, but getting 'extremely close up' to the barbed wire, but it's not in focus. So I would just like to see the focus reversed. Focus on the front wire, not the back. That would change it for me. Still a stunning photo. Love the colors and the background is beautiful. Horizon is horizontal. (one of my pet peeves.) Overall very impressive. ~Heather~ |

lightbulbby akyrosComment: Definately a close up. I'm not sure if it is an 'extreme' close up or not, but looks close enough for me. The photo is well taken, the light inside isn't TOO bright as we often see in bult/candle shots. While it does add something different to the shot, I'm not sure I like the dust? around the bulb. Seems like a distraction to me. My brain tells me that this should be a crisp/clean shot. The background is nice, nothing distracting there. ~Heather~ |

Domino Effectby ClubJuggleComment: This makes my eyes buggy. Kind of like a 3D effect. It's weird like that. But I like it. The background is very nice. Nothing distracting there. My only tiny nit pic is that there are a couple scratches in the lower right of the photo on the domino. Otherwise, nothing to complain about! Definately extreme close up. ~Heather~ |

Can you smell it?by SNAP1Comment: I love it!! You hit the challenge right on the nose. The lower right of the shot seems a bit bright, and I'm not really finding the sharpest point of focus, seems a tad soft all over, but I still like this shot very much. I'm not quite sure i'd hang it on my wall, but darn it, it brought a smile to my face for sure. ~Heather~ |

My Eyeby bruskiComment: This is disturbing. I'm going to have nightmares. WOW. Very nice. Not really sure what else to say. I like that you placed the pupil to the upper left. Lighting seems great, and focus and clarity are definatley great. Supurb shot. My first 10 thus far. Good luck in the challenge. And wow again. ~Heather~ |

Remnants of the stormby NodeComment: I like where you have placed the subject within the frame. I like how the vertical line is toward the right of the photo, and from that come your horizontal lines. The drops are nice. Since I'm not really sure what constitutes 'extreme' close up, I'll say that in my opinion this comes close enough. Although some will say that 'extreme' would be to take a photo of only the little drop of water, I do still think this qualifies for the challenge. nice focus and clarity and lighting also seems good. ~Heather~ |

Let The Battle Commenceby stragsComment: I think this is close to being outside the 'extreme close up' category and into the 'close up' category. When thinking extreme, I tend to think only one object, but this is only my one personal opinion. That being said...I love the shot. Love the color, love the background. Focus and clarity are really great, and lighting is what makes this photo for me. Overall a job well done. ~Heather~ |

Strawberryby JackoComment: Wow...this is definately an extreme close up. Not quite sure of WHAT, but it does look extreme. I hate to say I really like it, in case it's something really disturbing. lol. But I do like it. I like the angled seperation of the photo. I like the Green on red, and I like the little hairy things. That is what makes this appear to be really extreme to me. Parts of the shot look a little grainy, however, still very nice. ~Heather~ |

Blueby eckoeComment: This seems really grainy to me. Not sure if you intended it that way or not, but I don't think I prefer it this way. The color is very nice. Love the bright blue. Focus seems soft, but hard to tell cause I'm not really sure what this even is. I'm not a huge fan of 'abstract' type shots. This is only my personal opinion, however, lots of people love them. ~Heather~ |

Reflectingby LalliSigComment: Definately an extremem close up. I like the focus and clarity. very nice work there. DOF is perfect in my opinion. I think that the bottom 'rim' of the eye being very white though is distracting. I also wish I could see the tips of the eyelashes. Seems like the poiny-est part of the photo should be visible. Personal prefference though, some will definatley prefer it this way. Good job. ~Heather~ |
