Very sharp, very crisp, and very clear. I like the angle of this and the lighting is perfect. There are no bright spots and only a slight mellow shadow from the pencil. Your idea for this is really neat. Simple, but really neat. Good luck in the challenge.

I probably shouldn't comment on this one. I might be bias towards head on shots of crayons coming out of the box. LOL. (in case you hadn't seen it, I did a very similar shot in the something new challenge called "out of the box") It was so hard for me to photograph the crayons to look clear and in focus because of 1. the shiny-ness, and 2. the wrappers on crayola crayons are textured to begin with and take on a grainy, oof look. the lighting for this is perfect, and the background makes the crayons stand out. definately has a pencil in it. The only complaint I might have would be the tilt of the box. I think I would have liked to see this level with the top and bottom of the photo. Otherwise, very nice shot. Good luck in the challenge.

With the photos containing drawings, I can only wonder if the pencil actually did the drawing, or if the drawing was taken from something. Then I thought, who cares. The point has been made, the idea is really neat and if properly excecuted, overall great effect. The only things holding me back from giving this the highest rating is (and I know this is REALLY picky) but seeing the edge of the paper. I don't think we have to see the edge of the paper to know it's a drawing. Also, I think it would have a higher visual impact if you could have gotten the shadow of the drawing in the same direction as the hand. Great shot and good luck in the challenge.

That is a pretty cool pencil. I like the angle at which you took the pencil, but the angle of the rest of the photo kind of bothers me. It looks like the kid is going to fall right out of the left side of their seat. The lighting is good, and the photo has a lot of nice color in it. You did a really great job of keeping distracting glare and reflection off the matallic colored pencil. Looks like maybe the kid isn't a natural lefty, but rather just in the left hand to get a good angle on the pencil. That has no bearing on anything. LOL Just an observation. Great job and good luck in the challenge.

This is the perfect example of how to make a pencil visually appealing. I could hang this on my wall. Great shot. Lighting is perfect, angle is great. I like how there is a bit of background behind the pencil to have him stand out, yet still blend in perfectly with the roses. The color match is phenominal. Excelent shot 1 of only 6 10's this week. Good luck in the challenge.

Too funny. The chicken in front seems to be saying "what the??" LOL. Were you in an actual chicken farm to get this photo? The lighting is good. It gets a bit dark to the back, but it's not your fault, and it's not distracting, so it doesn't really matter. Definatley original. Didnt see any other chickens on here. LOL. Great job and good luck with the challenge.

I hope this isn't the real address, and SS#s. I feel your pain though. I give up and have mine done professionally. Great use of a pencil, and the focus on this is amazing. lighting and frame placement are also good. good luck in the challenge.

Simple, but to the point. The lighting is good. The focus is definately on the crumbs. I like how this is a green eraser rather than the traditional pink one. The wavy look to the edge of the paper in the background is kind of distracting, but nothing serious. Good luck in the challenge.

This is a pretty cool idea and your lighting is good. Did you want to be in the photo? I almost think that you are in the photo on purpose. Not sure why I think that. I think it's cause the title is simply "reflection" not "reflection of a pencil". For comparrision, I'd like to see it also at a different angle with a sollid color background in the spoon. Might look too much like an ad though. The focus is soft for my taste, but that's only an opinion and it doesn't take anything away from the photo. Good luck in the challenge

You put the eraser where the eraser should go. At the end of the pencil!! I love it! That is really cute. The lighting is good, the shadows are subtle enough they aren't distracting. However, toward the pinky finger on the hand, there is a dark outline going around the finger and down the back of the hand. I tried to enlarge it and change the lighting to figure out what was making it, and I actually couldn't figure out if it was a funny dark shadow, or if you may have moved your hand while the photo was being taken. Anyway, If i'm getting that picky, then you have a nice photo. Good luck with the challenge.
