In Memoryby rocco22Comment: The background is quite dark in this photo, but I think it works with the bright foreground. I would like to see this in color as well for comparrison. The angle is very nice, it shows both the swing and the tree. Great job and good luck in the challenge. |

Six Minutes Until Recessby chuckComment: At first I didn't notice, but I just noticed that all the swings aren't the same. There are the 2 regular swings and the 2 "baby" swings. There are 2 things that make me think this was taken at a public park, rather than at a school playground. And maybe I could be wrong, so just ignore me if I am (and it doesn't affect score BTW, this is only an observation) Schools usually have a fence at the "edge" of the playground, and they usually don't have those baby swings. I do NOT let title affect my ratings, but I think if you were going to sell the photo or something, people MIGHT feel decieved. Personaly I don't care if the photo was taken at a playground, park or prison. It gets the point across, and very nicely. I like the angle and the lighting. You did a great job of getting the chain parallel with the edge of the photo. Very nice shot. Good luck in the challenge. |

Portrait of an Old Friendby KazComment: Great shot. This looks like it portrays something very well loved and definately childhood. Angle and lighting are great. I like how you have his right arm even with the frame of the photo. Great job and good luck in the challenge. |

The Swingby pauldComment: I really love this photo. the grass is a really great green and the trees are a beautiful contrast. The lighting was great for this photo. my only lighting concern would be in the upper left corner where the bright spot kind of washes away the tops of the trees right there. This is an absolutely beautiful tree. This photo is in my top 10. Great job and good luck in the challenge. |

What Little Girls are Made Of...by tee tahComment: Sugar and spice and everything nice. And I ended up with a boy. lol. Very nice photo. I could see this in a poem book that has illistrations. The angle, focus and lighting are great. You did a wonderful job of keeping reflections and glare off the cup. Great job and good luck in the challenge. |

Swingsby MeggieComment: I like the angle this was taken at. The pole in the back, and the blue building are kind of distracting, but it's not like you could just move them, and I like the angle just how it is. The lighting is good, but the background looks a little hazy. Not sure if you did it that way on purpose, or if it just couldn't be avoided. Overall great photo. Good luck in the challenge. |

Mischiefmakers Toolsby TrexXComment: Well isn't this the truth! Only thing missing is the roll of toilet paper for the trees! The angle is good. The photo isn't cluttered, the objects are spaced out engough that we can tell exactly what they are. The angle on each item is good. Focus and lighting are ok. I might have tried to cut the bottom wooden thing out of the photo. There is a bit of a glare on it, and it's not straight with the frame of the photo. Great depiction of childhood. Good luck in the challenge. |

Challenges of childhood "Should I go for it???"by TaikimonsterComment: Go for IT!!! This photo reminded me of astephen king movie. There are a couple that have train tracks in them, and right now, for the life of me, I can't remember which it is, but I'm a huge SK fan, and this has a SK feeling to me. The angle and frame placement is great. the lighting was perfect for this shot. I have to wonder if this is still in use. There are some vines hanging down in front of the tunel. Not like it matters either way, but just curious. I hope you don't get a bunch of comments saying "you're not suposed to have a kid in your photo" Arms are too hairy to be a kid. LOL. Great job on the shot. Very nice. Good luck in the challenge. |

Toys Change but the Child Remainsby HoltwComment: I think this is a shutter speed trick. Not real familiar with it, so i could be wrong. I like how you have them kind of dissapearing into the "newer" toys. the lighting is very nice and I like the framing. great shot and good luck in the challenge. |

A day at the beachby RoninComment: This is a great angle on the car, but the beach needs to be tilted a slight bit to the left. I love the focus on the car, and the soft focus on everything happening in the background. The lighting is good for this photo. Good job and good luck in the challenge. |
