To me these look like S&M swings. Swings didnt look like this when I was a child. Good angle and framing though. Like the DoF. 7 - floyd

I love the composition and dof here...and the soft dewy quality of the background. looks like a peaceful morning. Great job! 8 Lisa

Nice composition. Yes there is the glare factor at the top of your pic, but it is more diffused and to me less distracting than direct sunlight. I love your "child's eye" view of the swings. Really cool. Overall, I give you a 10.

I like the angle this was taken at. The pole in the back, and the blue building are kind of distracting, but it's not like you could just move them, and I like the angle just how it is. The lighting is good, but the background looks a little hazy. Not sure if you did it that way on purpose, or if it just couldn't be avoided. Overall great photo. Good luck in the challenge.

great perspective shot and DOF

This is a beautiful photo... the soft (morning?) light and the mist in the background give a mood of reminiscence and contemplation to these empty swings. The composition is powerful.

I love the pattern created here. That branch in the upper left is distracting, and a little less light in the background (later in the day) would be nice.

Nice photo. The brightness at the top makes me feel like squinting against the light, so it's captured the bright sun very well. The seat in the foreground is very dark and could do with just a little light on it (IMO).

If you had called it "Empty Swings" it would have made it better to me. But a nice photograph.

Good job on this. I like how the swings lead your eye towards the top of the picture with the perfect overcast sky (my favorite kind of days). 7.

great picture! I really like this one. Can't think of any way to make it better.

Swings - a popular subject. Challenge well met. Too bad about the hazy day, it takes a bit away from the image. Did you try taking this from the opposite side? Good focus on the primary subject. 8 Swash

I like the focus on this, and the pattern the swings create. Though I normally really like brighter colors, the "dullness" in the background gives this an early morning dreamy feel to me. karmat

Nice depth of field...the flagpole (?) just beyond the swingset poles is a bit distracting (looks like it doesn't belong)....7.

Empty swings are almost a cliched image for lost childhood, but I really like the perspective on this shot, from a child's height. Woul have been nice to get a little better exposure/burn on the background sky.
