A Summer Day Awaitsby andrewmComment: Really nice close up. You can see the sugary texture of the cereal. I love how you have the milk in the bowl. The light coming through the window is beautiful and accents the bowl very nicely. The placement of the bowl is nice and so is the way the spoon comes out of the bowl towards the top left corner. Great job and good luck in the challenge. |

Window Seatby hokieComment: I like this a lot. The texture in the seat is great. I also like how you are looking out the window at another bus, just in case you couldn't figure out what kind of window you were looking out. I would like to see how it looked in color to see why you went with black and white for this photo. Great job and good luck in the challenge. |

Cageby johnmkComment: i'm not really sure this photo screams childhood, but it could be taken a few different ways. given the title, it could mean a childhood locked up (not nessisarily literally, but in some way). This looks like a hotel, maybe you did a lot of traveling as a child. The angle and patterns are great. Lighting was perfect. I like the contrast of the horizontal lines in the foreground (the wood) to the vertical lines as the subject (the gates). good luck in the challenge. |

Absenseby chariotComment: At first, this looked like just another phto of a swing. however you did a really great job lining it up and cropping and I like how you did it in black and white. The angle is really nice and lighting was great. good job and good luck in the challenge. |

The Swingsby shortredneckComment: Nothing better to depict childhood than swings. At least 15 other people thought so. lol. I like the pattern to these swings and how they are spaced out. The red poles kind of contrast the bluish tint of the swings. I know they are really black, but looks like the sky is reflecting in them. The angle you chose is very nice. Good luck in the challenge. |

Oh No!by ClubJuggleComment: It cracks me up what people will do for good photos. And this one succeeded. lol. This is a great photo. I like the contrast of the vanilla cookies to the chocolate cookies. I like how they are not all the same cookie. Great way to fill the frame. Angle and focus are great. Congrats on the shot and good luck in the challenge. |

Men never grow up...by jsabbartonComment: Not really sure what you're trying to portray here, unless it's the fact that he still needs his toast cut up. LOL. I'll give that to you. :) I cut my hubby's food into little pieces now that we have a 2 year old. strange how that happens. the angle is good, however I wish that the placemat were just a little straighter. I am curious to know what the thing int he middle of the plate is. I feel like I've been hiding under a rock with all the "different" things I see every day. LIghting is great and I like the placement of everything. good luck in the challenge. |

Memories of summers pastby tomlewis1980Comment: Ok...I know that the challenge says "no children" so I would assume that you would use a small adult for this photo. I am giving you that benefit of the doubt because it really is hard to tell. I like the black and white here, and the angle and focus are great. Lighting worked very well for this photo. good luck in the challenge. |

Daddy!by razwanComment: Great photo. I like the shillouette, nothing more needs to be said. If you relate as well as I do...I am truely sorry. However, we learn a lot from our parents. I learned how NOT to raise my child. :) Great depiction of my side of the fence. Thank you for having the bravery to post. For those perfect families, they might not "get it" just ignore it. YOU know your photo works, I know your photo works. Ask the millions of social workers out there...they know your photo works. Good luck in the challenge. |

Summer Daysby jaxxComment: Excelent job of getting that horizon straight with the top of the frame. Great framing. There is definately a lot of childhood in this photo. The lighting is perfect and that background is beautiful. I like the angle you chose with the lake in the background. Is it a lake, or is it an ocean? Never seen the ocean, but living in michigan, LOTS of lakes. lol Great shot and good luck in the challenge. |
