Excelent job of getting that horizon straight with the top of the frame. Great framing. There is definately a lot of childhood in this photo. The lighting is perfect and that background is beautiful. I like the angle you chose with the lake in the background. Is it a lake, or is it an ocean? Never seen the ocean, but living in michigan, LOTS of lakes. lol Great shot and good luck in the challenge.

crop it a little higher up from the bottom, getting rid of the murkyness

The composition is good...I like the shadow of the pinwheels...the whole picture gives the feeling of a lazy, hazy summer day.

This is a very calming shot. I like the colors and composition. Nice job. (but what's that shadow in the bottom left corner?) :o)

Great idea, I would have liked to see the focus a little sharper.

Very well done. focus looks great. Lighting is good. I like your subject. 8

Focus needs to be more on the sand castle... maybe with childhood tools? Too much suft and sky.

still my favorite place in the world, great beach shot

I know its on lthe beach and in bright sunlight, but the colors look a little washed out. Maybe since there was so much sun it would have been better take the exposure down a step

I like a lot. If you have the software, try saturating the colors and giving it a bit more of cvontrast, very good!

oh, and careful. see the shadow on the lower left corner? : )

The ONLY thing I could "nitpick" is the shadow in the lower left corner. I love your composition, and the sheer simplicity of the shot at conveying childhood. I like it a lot. lhall (9)

This reminds me of a California beach. The only thing that I don't like is the shadow at the very bottom left. 7.
