The focus on the fly is very nice. I'm not sure exactly what the object is that the fly is sitting on. My first instinct tells me that it's a nose, but then if it is, the angle makes the eye look like it's sunk unnaturally way back into the face. The shot is confusing to me. the lighting on the subject, and focus are both good though. Good luck in the challenge. ~Hbunch7187~

ahhh grosss!! absolutely amazing photo!! a microscope shot I assume. That is one creepy looking sucker. I can only imagine how tough this was to get, and I hate to complain about anything, but I do with that the focus was just a tad sharper. Still an amazing shot. The detail has not been compromised. I think that the lighting on this is a bit harsh toward the top. Makes some funny spots on the ridge of the top "sun ray". Don't know if you intended for this, but the focus is too soft for my personal tastes. The angle and framing/cropping are good though, and i like the color. Good luck in the challenge. ~Hbunch7187~

A rather confusing shot to me. If the main subject is the huge lens dead center, than I think that the people are distracting, and need to be blurred out. I understand that not all cameras have DOF, so if not, not a huge deal. They are still distracting though. lighting seems good, and the focus on the lens seems ok, but Im still not sure I'm seeing this right. To me, the people look like a reflection in a glass, or window that this dark lens is encased in. Not really sure though. Good luck in the challenge. ~Hbunch7187~

The DOF is paper thin on this. Not nesessarily a bad thing though. The part that is in focus is in very nice focus. I think though that I might like to see a tad more in focus though. Just my personal opinion. A bit of bright light intrudes in on the focused part, taking away a bit of the detail. I love the angle and framing/cropping. A nice guitar for sure. Not sure if this is really a superstition, as it is a belief or tradition. I guess it just depends on which side of the fence you're on, so I'll just comment on the technical aspects. I think the focus is great. Lighting is also very nice, and the angle and framing/cropping are good as well. Ugh, our local school checks halloween treats for 'stuff' and found quite a bit of bad things. So I wonder if this is an urban legend, or a fact. Either way, Im giving all the benefit of the doubt this week, so the technical part...The focus and clarity are good, and the angle and framing/cropping are good as well. a very nice shot.
