The focus on the model seems soft here. It looks quite grainy. The lighting on the subject doesn't seem very bright. It's a bit dark. I wonder if this is what is effecting the quality here. Better to have your subject in a bit more light. This would help a lot with the clarity. The background isn't the best, but it's not terrible either. I like how he's not looking at the camera. I don't think however that this would be on the cover of the magazine. The quality is a bit low, and I think that the garbage can in the background is a bit 'not right'. It's right near his head and a bit destracting. Hope this helps. ~Heather~

wonderful shot. wonderful focus and clarity. this shot is really good, but looks like the flag is on fire in the bottom right corner. Not really sure what is going on. why the flag in the middle of the fire? Still a really great shot. the fire looks good, and the detail in this really makes it for me.

The colors of this are muted, and the sky is quite unattractive. I'm also a little confused by the things coming in from the bottom of the photo. they bother me. I would also have liked to see the entire diamond in the shot. left crop is a little odd.

very cluttered. I think had you focussed in on one or 2 bikes, this might have had more appeal on the front of a magazine. I think your focus and clarity are ok, but too busy to really see much detail. lighting seems a bit dark, and the colors don't stand out well in this shot. definately bikes though.

The Gardener

Nice close up shot, but you are glorifying the weed. making it look like a pretty thing to have around, however, 'the gardener' would cringe at the sight of dandelions. Oh well. Still a very nice close up shot, great detail, and lighting is nice as well.

The 'mavica gang' shoot with a 73, I thought. If this is a shot making fun of them, or cutting them down in anyway, I think it's rude. If this is actually taken by one of the students, then why aren't you shooting with the 83?
Anyway, the shadow created by the camera is a bit distracting, but focus and clarity on the front camera is really good. Nice detail shown. I'm not sure if I like the crop much, seems a bit too close for me.

Pretty shot, good angle and nice colors. I'm just not finding myself engrossed in this shot. Would probably work on a magazine cover, but I don't think it would convince me to buy it. The few little out of focus weeds are a bit of a distraction for me.

Unfortunately, with the overcast sky and dull colors, I don't think this would be appealing enough for the front cover of travel and leisure. I wold also prefer this cropped 1/2 way down the mountain. Bring out eyes down into the shot. Maybe you could boost the colors with some saturation and brightness/contrast levels.

Rotate this about a degree to the right, there is a slight left tilt to the shot. Both in the green horizon line, and the hurdles. I wish that the focus could have been a little crisper on the runner. More stop motion would look great in my opinion. Looks liek this could be a Nike Ad.
