Palistinians go to Work in West Bank and Gaza againby GunnsiComment: Greetings from your own critique club. As always, the comments are based on my personal opinion about the picture.
First Impression:
Very Nice Silhouette shot.
Composition:
Good composition. The picture is tilted. I don't know if that was on purpose. I would have rotated the photo.
Subject:
I really like the subject, Silhouette effect. But I don't know if it fits the challenge.
Technical (Colour and light):
The lighting is good. The sky color is different, don't know if it's processed. I would have liked orange/yellow evening color beter in the BG.
Improvement:
Rotate the picture, different BG color.
Summary:
Nice picture over all. Rotate the picture, and see if you can do the different color balance.
Edit to add:
The horizon is fine, it's not tilted. Looking at the first site it looked like that, but it's not. My bad. Message edited by author 2006-05-09 18:30:55. |

R*E*T*I*C*E*N*Tby RoosterComment: Greetings from your own critique club.
First Impression
Very Nice POrtrait shot.
Composition:
Not sure about the cropping. I actually saved this picture and tried crop myself. I definately think the cropped one is looking better.
Subject:
I really like the subject. Nice expressions.
Technical (Colour and light):
The color and lighting is perfect.
Improvement:
Tighter crop.
Summary:
Nice picture over all. Tight crop of it should have scored higher.
Best of luck for your future challenges. |

Sunbathingby GunnsiComment: Greetings from your own critique club.
First Impression
Nice shot.
Composition:
Very good composition.
Subject:
I think Orage and dark blue are Complementary colors. That may be one os the reason for not getting higher score.
Technical (Colour and light):
Lighting is little bit harse on the orange.
Improvement:
Soft lighting on the orange, What's that on the right bottom corner? It's bit distracting
Summary:
The colors are not complementary, IMO. I scored it 6. Message edited by author 2006-05-07 18:24:42. |

Morning Gloryby yankoComment: Greetings from your own critique club.
First Impression
WOW.
Composition:
Very good composition. I would have like little tighter crop on this.
Subject:
I really like the subject. Nice take on the challenge.
Technical (Colour and light):
The color and lighting is perfect. PP is good except the could part. It looks like too much NI, flat. Almost loos like part of the window and not the BG.
Improvement:
Tighter crop, different PP for the cloud part.
Summary:
Nice picture over all. I did not vote in this challenge, but would have scores this 8.
Congrates on your Personal Best. |

Through a Glass Darklyby xianartComment: Greetings from your own critique club.
First Impression
Nice shot, but be bit artsy for some crowd on DPC.
Composition:
Very good composition. Nice tight crop.
Subject:
As I said it may be little bit artsy for some DPCers, I am affraid I am one of them.
Technical (Colour and light):
The color and lighting is perfect. It's too much overprocessed for my taste.
Improvement:
In order to score high on DPC, majority of the crowd need to be pleased. I have a feeling that it scored bit low due that fact.
Summary:
Meets the challenge criteria, but I did not like the PP.
