I've taken a heap of shots at this airport, but never one as well-constructed and meaningful as this (I still call 'Straya home!) Terrific image, combining a familiar skyline & a familiar Skippy to bring a tear to all Oz eyes ... mate.

Lovely, lush image of these gorgeous grapes. Already I'm thinking about having a glass of their future! It's a juicy, tactile photograph and a very good idea for the challenge theme. Well done.

There's something appealing about it. Nice abstract, graphic quality; symmetrical but not! Provokes the viewer into thought (assuming the viewer is capable of such) ... and that's a very good thing.

This is an exquisitely paradoxical image; few elements, simply composed, and executed (especially in post-processing) with restraint. Paradoxical because these modest ingredients nevertheless result in an image loaded with interest and intellectual challenge for the viewer prepared to make the effort. Those not so prepared will, alas, satisfy themselves with some carping about the wires.

That's an original idea for the challenge theme; so much more interesting and thoughtful than a shot from the base of a tall tree or towering building. Very nice composition, too.

Very thoughtful take on the challenge theme, and well executed, too. Plenty of scope for all sorts of allegorical interpretations of this image, but for now I'll just say it's very intelligent and effective.

Very nice minimalistic image. The inclusion of the moon (it IS the moon, right?) gives an amazing sense of depth and balance to it.

I feel like I should be able to figure this out. Best guess is wine, which would fit with the "from the ground up" theme. Could also be brewing. It's a very beautiful photograph, in any case ... love the lighting in the barrel store, the fine detail visible on the mezzanine floor, and the silky smooth appearance of the mixing tank. It's a very good example of meticulous exposure control.
