Battle of the elementsby AzrifelComment: I have learned a bit between now and then, so I put up a much better version in my portfolio. For that one there is a print available and sharperning in lab mode helped to solve the sharpening problems. |

Glen Abbeyby ToddhComment: The strong points of this image are the leading lines of the path and the creeks at the left and right side. Nice color and tone balance. Like it. |

The Thirteenth Moonby zeuszenComment: What is this? Salt Lake City, Denver?
I like the toning and the composition with the tree, the hills and the city.
It almost makes me wonder if this is real. Give you the benefit of the doubt. 8 |

Sacred Place..to meby kavamamaComment: Love the misty blue tone transitions of those background hills. The fall colors in the foreground add some flavour. Shame about that powerline that runs across the frame. |

Madonnaby thelselComment: Wonderfull how the face stand out. Seems like a bit of soft focus, works really well.
The only distraction is the background. Perhaps using a wider aperture might help, try to blur the background. |

Positive Space by jjbeguinComment: Love it how the line of better lighted arches lead the eye across the frame,
Very nice exposure and toning, the focus remains on the lighter cross section whereas the darker parts fill in the details so that you know what you are looking at. Lower right and upper left corners are slightly darker, works well.
Nice subtle framing.
Great job! |

The Heavenlies by GraciousComment: Arrrrrrrrrrrghhhhhhhh, judgement day is here, apocalypse now, the aliens have landed!
Wow, wonderful! It looks like an outerspace gascloud, but the bottom clouds brings things back to the right perspective. Again, wonderful capture.

Point Lobosby ronnersComment: Nice seascape. I really like this composition with the shoreline in front, one cliff on the right, another on the right and in an opposite angle the clouds.
The lines work well here, the right cliff draws you down, the shoreline to the left edge, the right clif back into the centre and the clouds up up and away. :)
Good job on the toning. |

Of Human Bondage - W. Somerset Maughamby NatatorComment: Well lit, excellent compositon. Good gray toning. Hard black/white border keeps the eye in the frame.
The choice of aperture keeps the focus on the fingers. Perpaps that is one of the main elements in human bondage; focus on the person, not the rope. :)
The long nail on the fifth finger leaves me wondering, are these the hands of a male or a female? |
