Salt and Algaeby JeansebComment: Nice seascape. I like all the action that is going on here in a kind of lightened dark mood. It seems like a bad day at the beach, rough sea, strong wind...... Yet a bright sky, possibly some light in the darkness. O yes, it certainly does smell of salt and sea on those days.

Fuel of the Dayby KINGComment: Excellent compostition, lighting, color, aperture choice. I can just smell the coffee. The grinded beans smell much better compared to the end product. |

Aroma Therapyby BigMoComment: The strong items of this image are:
1) Great natural colors, yellowy wooden
2) Leading lines, a reversed Z, enter at the lower left, to the right, up to the left corner and out again with the smoke. The Zen of Aroma Therapy! :)
3) Nice shallow dof tries to emphasize the tip of the smoking thingy ("wierrook" in Dutch, don't have a dictionary at hand)
The only dislike is the background. I would like it better if it were fully black instead of noisy bluegrey/ antraciet.
Overall a good photo. 8 |

My Favorite Scentby EmerauldeComment: Wow, good photo of emotional links to scent.
The soft focus works great to create the right mood for the viewer, it makes the scene steamy ~hot~sexy.
I am not sure about the noise, I think it would be to 'sharp' without it, destroying the mood. Good as it is. |

Fresh Bread Baked Daily (since 1903)by mariomelComment: There is nothing like the smell of a bakery early in the morning. I used to drop off a girlfriend next to one when she got to work, the smell of the bakery nextdoors was worth getting up early. Wonderful low light capture, gets me into the december mood.
Lots of angles and lines, lights and darks. Entertaining to the eye. Good job. |

Some bases of Curryby fanfuineComment: Good idea and setup. I like the setup and use of shallow dof. Good lighting, without highlight blowouts, yet I think that a slight underexposure might make it a bit better.
I might also crop it a bit tighter, but your border choice already helps to get into the scene.
Nice toning. 8 |

Coffee or tea? Both smell goodby deadbirdComment: I like the setup and lighting here, but I feel that there are a couple of reflections to many in the mirror below it. That gives it a bit of a fuzzy, unsharp feeling. One reflection would be good, now there seems to be movement in a unmoving scene. But that's just my feeling about this.
Good job on the color and toning, it might benefit from a slightly narrower aperture. |

Just For Men!by agwrightComment: Nice idea, well worked out compositon.
The only dislike is the way the background is refracted in the bottle, it takes the masculinity of the Eternity botlle away. It could do with a bit more saturation. Perhaps the Eternity bottle could be angled slightly more in a straight line to the lens.

Freesiaby banmornComment: Great composition and lighting. I really like it how it stands out with powerful color from the black background. The focus point seems a bit off (towards the upper right, instead of the blossom petals)m but the soft effect does not really hurt this scene. |
