Alone In The Darkby sahkoComment: Wonderful work with light and shades of gray.
Great, tasteful pose as well.
The white of the eyes is very bright though, did you do that with dodging / selective brightening / result of sharpening playing tricks with the eye or is it completely natural and is the difference in tone just playing with my mind?
Anyway, excellent work. One of my two tens for this challenge. |

Enter The Dragonby ImagineerComment: I liked the composition of this. Your shooting angle, frame filling, combination of still & motion, wow colors (lanterns) and sharpness made in one of the most interesting photos in this challenge for me.
It is a busy scene, but it manages to entertain the eye for quite a while. I gave it a 9. |

What A Dayby ShiiizzzamComment: It makes me smile. :)
Love the light subject vs dark background. The puppy hangs his paw over the edge of the coffeepot like a trucker or traindriver can hang out of his cabin. Doggy with attitude. :) |

No butts about itby fotomann_foreverComment: Awwwwwwwwww that looks disgusting! You see those stains in the filters? Imagine what that does in your longs, the filters to your heart! If stopping is serious, good luck, hang on! 7 |

More Timeby jenesisComment: Everything is great about this pic except that the head is missing. Perhaps for privacy reasons, that's your choice (don't blame you if it is about that).

December Saluteby AshezzComment: This photo would have looked so much better if you had taken it from a position more to the right. Not only you more to the right, but also your subject. Try to create the situation that the guy stands next to the flagpole, while his body covers the parked vehicles. The more rightward shooting angle would also take out the powerline cariers at the right.
Try to include the whole flag, by standing back and zooming in. Standing back would also avoid that shadow. A reflector on the ground could fill in the eye area. Eyes are one of the most important aspects in portaiture.
I am sure that this guy's time is limited, but shooting at a time when the sun is lower and more reddish could also fill in the shadow under the eye and give a more balanced color & tone response. |
