sometimes snapshots are much better than "planned" shots. This is a good example. Congrats on a fine image, and yet another ribbon!

Hi Paul,
nice to hear from you :)
I agree: B&W works better with tango. I was very lucky to get these shots. They are not "posed" as most of tango shots are, but really snatched from the heat of a real dance, and it shows. This woman (a Russian, believe it or not) is really amazing - she just started tango 3 years ago (a grade student by tango standards) but she is so good, and so in love with it. It also shows, I guess. In fact, I darkened the guy a little bit on this photo to focus more on her amazing face. Glad that you liked it.

love this shot. foottracks make it much more interesting. It's a lucky find: I have been to White Sands last year (see my portfolio), but haven't seen anything like it.

very interesting portrait which reminds me Klimt paintings. One of my favorites in this challenge. Would love to know the processing details

Great portrait, one of my favorites. I am not sure about skin texture, the photo is stylized as a hairstyle ad or a magazine cover shot where this is a big no-no :)

very nice classical portrait. Perfect lighting and focus. An old rangefinder camera (is it a Leica?) is a nice touch. A little bit of a hairlight from bottom right tpo separate the head from the background would possibly make it slightly better, but it is great as it is.
