Fall - One leaf at a time by JeffDayComment: I always wanted to capture a leaf in free flight, and here you have it (not exactly in flight :), but the illusion is there!) Great shot, congratulations! |

On the Prowlby JedusiComment: the technique reminds me oriental ink paintings a little. it's impressionistic and graphical at the same time. Interesting that usually hi-key is associated with softness and tenderness, but this guy is anything but tender, and high key somehow works here to emphasizes the predatory feel. good job! |

Reachby MelethiaComment: nice work Deb, congratulations! Love the concrete background and the shadows - but they must be from the other flowers outside the frame, am I right? |

The 'Yawney' Owlby JedusiComment: fantastic shot! I am not sure it's a yawn - it looks to me like he (or she?) is shouting at you Message edited by author 2007-10-17 11:51:42. |

untitledby LevTComment: Originally posted by zeuszen: After his private holdings were seized by the state, the Grand Duke chose to retreat to a poor old farmhouse in the French alps where he eeked out a meagre existence with his two dogs, Hotaya and Psovoi, until his mysterious demise in 1989. An autopsy revealed that he had ingested several family diamonds on the eve of his 10th year in exile. |
you almost got it right :). But the actual names of these beautiful Russian wolfhounds (borzoi, in Russian) are Bala (after Balakirev) and Anya (presumably, after Anna Kerenina?). |
