when I think of echoes in photography, I usually think about two unrelated objects resembling each other. Here however one is just a shadow of another, so echo is not surprising. Still, nice framing.

some bedroom windows are better than others... interesting transition form transversal to longitudinal stripes, never saw it in zebras so clearly. In liquid crystals theory such objects are called "disclinations"

Hey Romil, I appreciated your frank comment regardless :). Actually, this is more-less how I always process my shots now (i.e. very little). Just on that overcast day the light was rather flat, no shadows to speak of. Oh well. But I still like it as it is, I think it channels the atmosphere of the place, cold (in winter) and not very hospitable. Real de Catorce is actually a "ghost" town, with relatively few inhabitants.
