Day 18: You look'n at me?by jasonlpriceComment: This cat is a prime subject for B/W with that mix of tones in the fur. So where was this cat? In a tree outside a window or something?
I like cats (we have two), but the eyes here look a little weird (nothing wrong with the photo - just the cat). :P |

Day 14 - The Last Leafby BudyaComment: Nice texture and bokeh in this photo. The front leaf is almost mirrored by the one behind - that's fun.
One distraction is it appears you did some minor burning in the area near the lower left of the leave? The bokeh seems disrupted with a "hiccup" in the grain. Just an observation. :)
Take care. |

Day 15 - Raindropsby BudyaComment: Precariously balanced and ready to roll off at a moments notice! :)
I like the 'L' shape the leaves form and the natural leading lines in here. The raindrops make for a good focal point. Well seen and captured. |

Desolateby APComment: You have some beautiful work in your portfolio. The Sigma 10-20 subject grabbed my attention from your profile page so I ended up here. :)
This is a wonderful photograph of a stark and barren type setting. The rising mist is great! Given the subject and feel of this location I like the sepia version better.
Smile and keep having fun! :) |

in the breezeby ordinaryangelComment: I'm a sucker for this kind of shot. These seed heads always draw my attention...driving in the car, at the mall, etc... :P
Great job of catching this backlit subject. Don't know if the grain was intentional (I imagine yes), but it works well here. |

indifferentby ordinaryangelComment: I really like the empty space in the center and the slight bit of motion. The tiles on the floor add a nice sense of depth. Overall, this photo puts the viewer on location. Nicely done! |

SchoolDoors1Web1.jpgby cogeroxComment: No! Don't go in. It's a trap! :)
Looks like the ramps/lines lead you to the doors and you can't turnaround. This is a fun and interesting image. Perfect as a subject for B/W treatment.
I do have to say...something strange with the post-processing on this. The leaves of the branches intruding from the upper left look like xrays. Some artifacting on the rails.
Smile and keep having fun! :) |

Boltsby cogeroxComment: AAiieeehhh! I'm trapped! :) My eyes immediately went to the bolt on the left, then to the right, travelled back across the grass - repeat, over and over. :P
I like the slight diagonal line formed by the cement base. Keeps the image from getting too static for the subject. The late/early day sun casts enough shadow to add that needed contrast boost and depth.
Nicely seen and captured. :) |

Day 17 - Lilyby CapeSailComment: I need to find some of these! This photo has a classic feel to it, taken by someone with an artistic eye. My only observation for possible improvement would have been to stop down some for a deeper DOF to include detail for the entire flower (fading a bit towards the back).
Well seen and captured! |
