DSC_2070.jpgby Thaddeus_SmithComment: Good coverage of the B/W tonal range. Nice placement of the subject in the comp - although a split second sooner would have given more "breathing room" for the kids and boat to move into. Processing is "ok" - vignette is a little strong for my taste and the grain in the middle tones lower-center is distracting. |

Fall colorsby jimsappComment: 5.3?! Yikes. I enjoyed this photo very much. Nice work in getting the shot (I know it's not easy getting close to true wildlife, and big bucks are big for a reason!). :-) |

The Stare of Curiosityby Shutter-For-HireComment: Originally posted by ThingFish: Looks like almost everyone including myself feel you spoiled this excellent shot by having the 2 main elements in colour. Still congratz on a good 9th but it could have gone higher. |
Not sure I agree on this scoring higher if it was in B/W...what Eric did here with the desat certainly stirred some emotions/comments in many (some liked it), but I think the post-processing served it's purpose in grabbing the attention of fast moving voters.
Eric, I hope you post this photo to a forum thread for discussion. I'm sure it could get a little rough, however, the "conversation" could be very enlightening and educational. |

Tranquility by photomankcComment: Miniature golf? The light bulb and flood light...
Seriously, this shot is ok looking at the actual waterfall part of it. The tree on the right is jumping out like a shining beacon (it's overexposed and very, very bright).
Good luck in the challenge. |

Uh Oh!by TruegshtComment: You might want to slow the shutter speed a little if you want some actual blur. :-) |
