My Umbilical Cordby wdammanComment: I went back and forth on whether I liked this or not at first. I have to say now that I DO like this entry. At first it felt cluttered but now I can see that great length went into getting the correct spacing and flow in the combined pieces of this comp. It does have a strong stock/studio feel to it that may turn off a few "artistic" types, but in the end this should do quite well I think. Giving this a upward score adjustment at time of commenting. Good luck. |

Stairsby cabaComment: Lovely staircase that certainly was worth photographing for this challenge. One thing...I can't help but be drawn to the door at the top of the stairs. Kind of interrupts the flow and symmetry. I have a suggestion for a slight mod in comp that I'll share if you're interested. Overall, nicely seen. Good luck in the challenge. |

Screwed Upby h2Comment: Nice, simple concept, yet fun. Should do just fine with this. Good luck! |

~ Drilled ~by Ja-9Comment: Drill bits were on my list of items to consider. I hadn't thought of putting them on a mirror. That's an interesting choice that works ok (be better if the mirror was clean - sorry, couldn't resist). Something about this still doesn't present optimally I'm afraid. Maybe with some space between the drill bits, or only three and have the variance in lenght a little more pronounced? As is, they clump together somewhat. JMO of course. Good luck in the challenge. |

Flamingo Curvesby sfmorrisComment: The curved feathers add a LOT to this, rather than just the traditional curved neck. Nice comp, good details, controlled exposure. Should do ok with this one. Good luck. |

Geometry of Natureby ConnorComment: Hmmm...second time around on this one as I'm doing some commenting. It's growing on me a bit more. I like how you've done a nice job controlling the lighting. The subject certainly fits the challenge quite well and is pleasing to look at. It does help to dust a little better. ;-P Good luck! |

Goin' Greenby OdysseyComment: Subject choice is ok. Technicals (focus, exposure, etc...) are fine. I'd probably lose the base and tighten it up some (lose a little of the negative space). All JMO of course. Good luck! |

Twisted Metalby ErikTurnerComment: Very cool piece(s) of sculpture. B&W was the best choice...I think you're trying to show too much here however. Just getting one of those curls with the metal behind it would have been a way stronger presentation. Too much other "stuff" going on in the background (light poles, hand rails, etc...). |
