Oh my goodness Roz. Thank you for sharing the story behind this image. While this photo certainly stands on its' own, I love when words can be put behind it to fill in the details. In this case it's difficult read as it tugs strongly at the heart. I don't think I'm ready to view Jacob's life in photos ... the grief those parents must bear.

I like this MUCH better than the rust shot that you entered. Like at least 2 points higher ...

Couple of nits on this that would have held in down a little:
The lines are off some ... would prefer the inside shed roofline to be horizontal (BTW - are those chandeliers in the barn?!) :-)
It's too clean and pretty ... yes, the tractor and surrounding elements are dirty / rusty, but it looks almost painterly (the tractor for sure).
With regards to the last statement ... it could stay this way if you'd applied a texture overlay on it to "grunge" it up some.

All just one guys opinion.

The FCC FAA states that there is a limit of 5 owners per any internet photo contest site. I think Paul snuck in before the final rule was written. Sorry Lev, but you're going to have to find something else to spend your money on. :-D I wonder if Robert is thinking the same. LOL

Dang. I meant to come back and give this a bump. I thought it was a clever take on the challenge and nicely captured. Surprised to see this placing at 21st. My bump wouldn't have helped that much as I'd given it a 6 to start with. :-}

I really enjoyed this image and gave it one of my higher scores. Surprised it didn't make it into the top 5 at least. The title was clever (sometimes that works, sometimes not) and the image itself was shot very well.
