yard1_smby LuciemacComment: I love this photo! Not for it's technical merit but for the captured moment, as what, in essence, photography really is. I can just feel the tension, see the quivering haunches, as this cat attempts to get close enough to capture whatever 'prey' it's locked onto. A fun, well-timed image! |

Godby BJokerudComment: I'm having a hard time figuring out this anagram. Hmm. Oh - I get it. :-) LOL Could be a little bit TOO easy. |

stun seaby tvsometimeComment: I like the photo and also that you have to work just a little to figure out the anagram, but the composition is just a smidge uncomfortable with the leading edge of the chair at the far right of the frame. Some make like the 'tension' that this introduces to the image I suppose.
The timing on the lighting is very well considered. |

Perliteby MichaelCComment: I get the Anagram and overall like the subject and lighting, but it's unfortunate that some of the body has to be left out of the frame. |

If you go down to the woods...by PaulComment: I was quite surprised to see this didn't make the front page, or break the Top 10. Tough challenge these 'Best Of' are ...
The toning on this is perfect as are the details. Looks like an awesome spot to visit.
Had you as one of my top picks - gave it a 9. :-) |

Pump House Circa 1890 by BarronessComment: Hi Debbi. Hope you don't mind but I took some liberties with your entry and did a little post work on it. I like the building and I think it suits the challenge well, but it seems that your autofocus grabbed the foreground branches, and with the shallower depth of field (at F2.8) the background (subject building) just couldn't quite come thru. Did you select ISO 100 and F2.8 on purpose? I'd think you could go up to at least ISO 400 to go a bit deeper on aperture and still maintain a hand-held shutter speed. ???
Anyway - here's a rough workup I gave it to add a little mood. Quick and dirty, so to speak, using my laptop. I'll pull it if you'd rather not have it posted here.
Take care.
Barry

:-) Thanks Lev. He has a hold on it and is running it back to me. |

Oh, he definitely gives it back. Over, and over, and over, and over ... he literally tosses it at your feet after bringing it back. Along with incessant barking until you throw or kick it again! :-) |
