Count the gray dotsby lissylouComment: I almost did the same one! ;^) Hard to keep the lines in order... I think this would have worked a bit better if you had included more grid so they weren't so large when viewed in the voting window. This (grey dots) works better in the thumbnail view IMO. Good luck in the challenge. |

The Illusion od a Summer showerby PixelstateComment: It came out pretty decent Chris (yes - I remembered the forum post). Wonder how it would have worked to position yourself to catch a rainbow in the spray? Good luck in the challenge. |

Net Shot Gerbera Xby banmornComment: I was on vacation when the results for Macro V came in and for one reason or another never looked at the top 10 results. This is a very interesting photo. Fun to look at. The main reason I'm commenting is on the way you posted the steps/process you took to create this image. It seems that the "secrets" are kept close to the vest too often - makes it harder to learn. Thanks for sharing. |

Throne Roomby OdysseyF22Comment: Photo is kind of fun, but I do wonder why you chose to use selective desat on the object you did. If your intention was to draw focus to that part of the image, it works - would have thought you would want to draw farther in (colored toilet paper would have been interesting). ;^) |

Treetop Stepsby glad2badadComment: Hmmm...I may have to stop experimenting. ;^) I took this shot using the camera timer and placing the camera on the ground facing up the tree to get the perspective. The mosquitos were killing me while I waited!
This treefort is still a work in progress and belongs to our oldest.
As for the shadows - I lightened up the underside of the fort a bit for those with monitors that are a bit dark. Some details I thought would be ok, too much would be distracting as the underside of the fort is quite unattractive.
I was hoping that the viewers eye would be naturally guided up the tree, and not so much emphasis on the actual treefort itself. Oh well, on to the next challenge. ;^) Thanks everyone for the comments. |

spokes on boatby clictacameraComment: I find this photo interesting. Yes, the crop is a bit distracting. I'm wondering how this would look if it was cropped even more to show just the pedals forward. ??? Depending on resolution it may get a bit noisy...just a thought. Good eye for seeing the potential here. Good luck on your next challenge entry! |
