The Fashion of the Suspiciousby saphireComment: Interesting image. The guy in the background (white shirt and dark jacket with sunglasses) looking at the camera makes me wonder about the setup. Is the primary subject (brown jacket, hat, and glasses) the photographer? Is there a tripod setup on the sidewalk? Maybe the subject is a stranger? So many questions! That's a good thing in a way...makes people think.
Technically the image is "OK". Primary subject doesn't appear as sharp/focused as I would like to see. I wonder about the ISO also as there seems to be some noise.
Interesting approach to the challenge. 6 from me. Good luck in the challenge. |

Western Flairby slgardnerComment: Attractive model. Nice tone used for coloration. Location for the shoot is "OK" - a little bit too interesting and the eye wanders away from the subject to look at the rest of the story. Otherwise, well done. Good luck in the challenge. |

Hot Fashion Plateby IndigoButterflyComment: And the creative winner award goes to...? ;^) Very clever shot. Fun concept and implemented quite well. Lighting is a little hot on the right shoe (left for the viewer). Biggest complaint I have is the towel (?) that was used for a tablecloth. Good luck in the challenge. |

From Russia with love by unnevaComment: I think I remember this young lady from another well prepared image in another challenge some time ago. Very attractive...hard to forget. ;^) I like the approach you've taken with the fasion piece - very trendy, nice pose by the model, great attention to the details (lighting, exposure, focus, etc...). Some nitpicking to do on the hair showing under her left hand. This leads to the fuzzies (?) on her visible gloved hand. Minor, I know.
This shot would be a fine image for publication. Well done. |

Enlightenment (pour femme)by riotComment: This one should get the unique concept award. ;^) Very interesting approach to the challenge AND a fun image to look at as well. Nice job. |

Utopiaby freebsComment: Great colors with the yellow and blue...attractive model and the mask adds a nice touch. Too bad about the dust bunnies. ;^) Overall, very nice image. Good luck in the challenge. |

Breaking downby unnevaComment: This is an interesting photo. One thing hard to grasp is the scale of the ice. I have a feeling that the chunks of ice are pretty large, but without anything to give it context (boat, person, etc...) it's hard to know.
Another cool factor in this image is the high contrast created by the bright whites and the dark shadows.
Smile and keep having fun! ;^) |

Tickling the Ivoriesby AdrienneGCComment: This is a nice shot and probably would have done "OK" in the challenge. It's funny, I've done a nearly identical shot for some stock work and the thing that jumped out at me was the dirt that shows up on the black keys. ;^) That might have cost you a point or two... One other consideration - have you mirrored this? The eye tends to be more natural/comfortable to go left to right (Western culture thing I guess).
Smile and keep having fun! ;^) |
