I like your arrangement of the rings. I might try a more contrasting background, though. Since the metal of the rings reflect what they are laying on, they seem to almost disappear into the white.

The last couple of comments before the end of the challenge got it right. It is a detail shot of a loom. We are in the process of dressing the loom so that is why the warp threads are hanging loose.
