Nuancesby IreneMComment: Congratulations :)
It was such a mix of photos and such an up and down seesaw during voting that I had no idea what photo will finish where. I had a hunch that this would do well. |

Rosettesby VBesterComment: This is quite abstract in shape , so this fits for me. Only pitty is the frame is sitting on an angle and not on a straight plane with the camera. Being a mirror view? if the mirror was fitted to the frame, Im not sure how it would've worked composition wise, so the only trick I see... would've been to popout the mirror from the frame or use a seperate frame and mirror pieces to get the perspective straight on for the frame and still get the angle you want from the mirror.

Black Lightby ravins4Comment: A very nice visual and creative take. Some might give you negative points DNMC points for the bit of color there. If others didn't mention it in their comments, it was quite alright to use desaturation in PP here.
The lighting looks good, I like the bit of halo from lighting the bulb from the top.(no vote) |

Forkby QuigleyComment: Perhaps if the strawberry was dark red ripe and looked black in the b/w conversion but as such it doesn't work quite well converted to b/w. Perhaps a different b/w conversion method might have worked? if you'd like to PM me after the challenge ends I can try a few methods. Quite curious to see if this has more potential in b/w. Branching Outby ErikVComment: Excellent capture of texture here. I'm uncertain to what this is, has this been inverted also? On the fence if this fits as an abstract for me but it's open to interpretation. Good macro work. (no vote) |

Sonataby AnnComment: Great job with this capture. Nice and crisp. The 2nd drop just makes it really great. (no vote) |

Magnetostatic Spawnby labudsComment: Shiny things lend themselves well to b/w. Great job with the lighting and exposure. Would've cropped out the bottom OOF portion, don't think it adds anything to the shot. (no vote) |

Crackedby SoulComment: I very much like the idea of cracked glass as a subject for this challenge. I know you couldn't do much about the blob on the glass. (no vote) |

City Abyssby escapetoozComment: This reminds me of high anxiety. The OOF blur works especially well for this shot. Well done putting it to good use here. (no vote) |
