Sitting at my desk wondering what to shoot for this challenge and I notice a fork on my desk. I start to wonder who left the fork there and why were they eating at my desk, which lead me to, what were they eating, which got me thinking about strawberries which in turn lead me to this shot. I know it's nutty how it works sometimes but at least I came up with something. IF this shot does well (HA,HA) I'll thank whom ever left the fork behind and if not I'll have to come up with a suitable punishment. :)

Perhaps if the strawberry was dark red ripe and looked black in the b/w conversion but as such it doesn't work quite well converted to b/w. Perhaps a different b/w conversion method might have worked? if you'd like to PM me after the challenge ends I can try a few methods. Quite curious to see if this has more potential in b/w. (no vote)

Nice to have the strawberry sharply focused. Having the title "Fork" probably will work against you since that part of the image is mostly blurry background matter rather than where the eye easily lands. I suspect that completely black strawberry, existing as a nearly pure triangle with curved wide end, might have fit better in a challenge calling for "abstract" images.

This is a nice photo, but I think if you go in closer so that it was a little harder to tell at first glance that it's a strawberry with a fork through it, it might say abstract a little better.
