I AM A WILD BIRD!by snafflesComment: Always a treat to see a cardinal, extra points for photographing one. This is a male, the females are tan with a bit of paler orange with a few red highlights. Also very pretty. Message edited by author 2009-12-26 23:57:32. |

IMG_0789.jpgby SandyPComment: Wonderful capture, Sandy. What a doll. Such determination in her face. Is she trying to break off a piece of the cookie? to share with the dog? Looks like he/she definitely wants a piece. Or are they perhaps examining a new find? Fun shot with a wonderful story. |

Stem Cellsby HarveyGComment: Cute! That looks like a ladybug larvae to me. The shot is somewhat overexposed. Not easy finding the right balance but if you can underexpose just a bit at times, after tweaking the contrast/brightness, it might make the final shot noisier but you'll have more details in the highlights. |

Glass in the lightby IreneMComment: Beautiful PWL. Love the curve. And of course the blue hue ;) Message edited by author 2009-12-01 01:24:57. |

Sunset Limitedby mpetersComment: This made my top10 list of pics. As I was looking I had a feeling the colors were intended to be be shown as such, and I liked it. It's not over the top. Reminds me of those velvia shots. Composition wise, it also strikes a nice balance. If some monitors are set to a too high contrast setting it might look oversatured there? with those folks who voted a 4 ;) |

Japanese Maple Treeby PennyStreetComment: Oh you definitely captured it. Love the color it turns to in the Fall. One of my favorites in our garden. For those wondering, in the Summer it's more of dark maroon purple and not as strikingly colorful when backlit.

My Muse, My Wifeby DrAchooComment: She seems to have a wonderful kindness to her. The light is nice but only wish the setting was a little cozier looking.

Ginkoby bassboneComment: One of my favorites. Aslo particularly love how greatly the tree pops in the Fall. It changes a bit later than the other trees so it's nice to have that yellow pop of color while everything else is grey. |

The Cornfield, Antietamby MaryOComment: The HDR/Tonemapping effect works really well for this shot. Really brings out those textures. Nicely done there. No halos which is nice. Only nitpick about the PP is that I don't particular like the vignetting on the left. It seems to be a bit out of place. |
