Looking great! Wonderful idea to display the two shots like this. A mirror image with non non mirror expressions :)
An enjoyable ride to see how your style has progressed.

One of the most picturesque winter season town photos I've ever seen. Beautiful. Fast fowarding from it being a hot Summer now to Winter, I can get sense of the cold whiff in the air.

So sorry to learn of your Dad's passing *hugs*
This is bright and cheery shot and I'm glad you've found something to lift your spirits and bring back a sense of normalcy.

My favorite from your portfolio thus far. It's wonderful how the children get their own corner in the frame. Being Basic I know you couldn't have cloned out the bike section there. I like the slight yellow cast adds a nice character to the shot, but the sand just appears slightly overly bright. I wouldn't mind seeing a version where you apply any PP you want to the shot, and just post it it on imageshack(create a free account). You can then post the link here if you want. If you need any help with that, you can PM or as some folks do post a resized original in the forum and let people have a go at it, see which one you like best and try to get that result yourself :)

Aha clever! Congrats on the blue :)
It's an excellent concept. Why didn't Apple's ad team think of this!

oh no , I got it was a mirror ;)
From your last 10 photo posts, this is my favorite. You have achieved a look of your own. With the smooth textures and tones of your images. Congrats on the top5. Silverfoxx also has the delightful smooth textured look but different tones, which are also wonderful but they are her sort of trademark and the warmer ones here are most of the time, yours. Beautiful lighting, setup and PP here.

Great scouting this location for the project. Looking forward to Fall already :)

Still haven't found my tree yet.

Edited to add: Didn't read the two comments before posting... Looks like the previous two posters also can't wait for Fall. That's us Photogs hehe.

pfffft, I was wrong. I really liked this different and shot with feeling take on the theme. I didn't find the veiling distracting and thought it helped to the concept by putting more focus on the shape and body language than the lady's features, which are still visible. It really helped with the somber mood , such as people tend to be in a delicate state of mind in such situations. The title ties it all together. Not always do they make such a perfect match.

Usually I first view the shot and see what the impact is, this one made a good one and then the title rounded it. Perhaps that's why it didn't score as well as we'd hoped? Thing is, in this case I don't see this entry as one of the shots that where not meant for the challenge initially, and where posted with a different title to fit in. Maybe it was but this works too well. It has a good click with me.

Perhaps for this challenge, if there was a nightstand with a picture frame on it in the distrance. Both the nightstand and frame being light in color and OOF just enought to not distract the eye from the lady but add to the story. That would've made the connection even better.

Wouldn't mind seeing just a silhouette of the legs, by making the lower portion of the shot even darker. Nicely setup and cool touch with the link flying out there.
