Reading Books... Low Tech but still fundamentalby jmleliiComment: Ok, but... he's not 'reading' the books. Seems to me, the book concept would be best with someone sitting in a room with the TV shut off reading a book and looking very engaged. If this shot was in some photojournalism type challenge it would score very high with me. Hope this was helpful.
...by the way, "This photo has been validated." ?? What would someone challenge? |

Low tech gameby speaseComment: Pretty good entry. Only a couple things: I think the height angle is a little too low and the side angle should be parallel to the horizon - makes me think the Silver team has the advantage of gravity. ;-) There's also a little distracting ghost in the black background. |

Antique Ironby BudComment: Very good! Just a few flaws - background could've been some more authentic setting and don't crop part of the iron. Hope this helps. |

A-peeling Apples by lwkimagesComment: Nice, very nice. Although... I haven't seen Ronco come up with a device that does what this does! |

Low Tech Repairby canyoncatComment: Good concept, but bad execution. It's not clear the tape is being used to repair - should've shown something damaged and half covered by the tape. Also - the colors are just unpleasant - must be the 70's paneling. Lastly, too dark and shadowy. Hope this is helpful. :-) |

Amish Buggyby spydrComment: Man, this would've been one of my top picks, but the whole image is washed out quite a bit. Would look good with more contrast and saturation...and maybe a little broader angle on the buggy so as to see a little more of the horse and side of the carriage. |

Wagon 1 from David Smithby clictacameraComment: Score 1 from me. ;-) Kidding. You should've called it "Wagon 10" though. ;-)
Photographically - it's got lots of problems (for me). Lighting reflection, angle, focus, tabletop, cropping - all wrong for my taste. Biggest issue though is What the heck am I looking at?? :-) Sorry. I can think of some funnier titles for you though: "The first atomic bomb is transported to the Enola Gay" or "A truck delivering the worlds largest black olive, passes under the city limits sign." ...I'll keep working on it. ;-) |
