Since the bokeh shell (an urchin?) is so much bigger than the in focus one, it's rather distracting and doesn't seem to enhance the subject.

The bokeh doesn't really enhance the image here, rather it gives it an unsettling feeling. I really like the in focus part, but the bokeh part is making me a little sea sick.

The baby is almost too out of focus for my taste. I like the concept and I though I was really going to like the image after seeing the thumbnail, but in full size and detail the baby is a little too amorphous.
