Painfully Cold Winterby ecko313cheerComment: Your picture is too small. Go for 640 as longest side of your picture. The problem eoth this photograph is that it's only link to the challenge is in the title. Without is, the shot would never ever suggest pain. 2. |

ouch that hurts!by nruterComment: Shame on you for taking advantage of a child's injury! Just kidding ;) The pain is visible all right. The mask on the child's head tell me he didn't see a stair or something. The hand on the left is distracting, because we cannot see the person it belongs to.
Your frame might be a little more to the left, and your lighting is too direct. The childs face is too bright and there are annoying reflections in the eyes, the jewelry and the jumper. 5. |

No Way Out...by MontereykiddoComment: I like this one. The girl takes in about half of the frame and is really close to the watcher. This along with the well-applied DOF make me connect to her immediately. The title allows some interpretations which all go into the same direction. You might be referring to the hallway which is blocked by the man. Or it is linked to the man's addiction to alcohol, which is suggested by the bottle in his hand, which he took along outside the flat. The third, and most striking interpretation that occured to me is that for the girl there is no way out of this relationship.
The only thing that bothers me is the girls black eye. The picture works well enough without it, and would allow for the spectator's imagination to get going.
10. Good luck. |

Closed doors for the Mayansby euskadiComment: I like the subtle colours and the detail on the door. The composition bothers me a little, as the woman's looking outside the frame, which she is too close to. If the was looking to the left, it would be much better. 6. |

The Pain Of Knowingby bobgaitherComment: I have now thought some time about this shot and the title and still can't figure out what you're referring to. All I see is an (interesting) tree, which has nothing to do with pain, at least nothing I can see. Maybe this is some kind of 'hidden face' picture? 4. |

Farewellby AntoninoComment: Why did you not use a real person for this picture? I think it would have been more interesting then. 6. |

WMD - Weapon of Mouse Destructionby aronya1Comment: This picture is rather about immediate death than about pain, but that's something which depends very much from the point of view. For me, it's too gross. For the picture as such I can't find too many appealing elements either. You pushed the contrast too far and the background, which takes about a third of the picture doesn't add to the image. 3. |

Destiny's Painby gtroiaComment: I like the concept. It suggests pain woÃthout having persons in the image. The torn picture holds a whole story. The faded roses and the ring add to the athmosphere of the photograph. The only thing I don't like is the composition. It lacks dimension, everything is lying flat on the table. 7. |

All my painsby TiagoComment: An interesting picture. Reminds me of my own submission, although I didn't go quite as far. The pose is very dramatic, but I think it doesn't suggest pain that well. The colour cast is nice, it adds to the overall effect. 7. |
