This looks a bit oversharpened in my opinion, and the colour isnt all that appealing to me, but the DoF is effective. A boost to the contrast wouldnt do any harm either :)

The lighting seems a bit flat. Try getting a desklamp and playing around with different lighting angles to add more impact.

The focus seems a bit soft, try applying USM in post processing. You could desaturate the magenta channel too, to get rid of the purple fringing.
