Ancient Saintby SoulMan1978Comment: You'll always get a lower score when you submit a picture of a peice of artwork that is not yours, even if you present it in an interesting and dramatic way. When the voter sees an image like this she/he thinks "But the sculptor did all the work" but when they see an old barn, they will attribute the "find" to the photographer. Its a voter quirk thing that cost you that half a point, and always will. |

Barn Windowby NikonJebComment: Flipping through the entries post challenge, after all the overly saturated images, the processing on this one is refresshingly subdued. I like it lots. |

Emergingby GermaineComment: or jogging through the crater of a volcano? SO much movement in the fiery overlays that the runners themselves look slow. I want to say "Run! Hurry up! the pool of lava id growing right behind you." |

~ heart ~by JutildaComment: This is a masterpiece of emotion. This is one where I'd like to see the original. Is it the child, the image or the processing that gives it such power? |

Indigoby GermaineComment: More magic. I can't help seeing this on the cover of a teen mystery/romance novel. "the Mystery of the Crystal Cave". "Let's go explore the cave," says Dick. "I can't believe you forgot gas!" says Jane. |

Openby GermaineComment: Yes, your colors are amazing. I'd love to go into your brain for a day to experience how you see the world. I'm quite sure my world doesn't look as intersting as yours. |

Squallby GermaineComment: Wow- feel that wind. I find the mountain believable. the peak adds a balance to the left half of the image. I love the greens that you get. are you just playing with color balance, or are you, perhaps, a witch with some magic to spell? |

Buoy No. 3by GermaineComment: This is so beautiful, the layers so subtle, the colors so lovely. And a useful tip too, never occured to me to blur an overlay layer - something to try tahnks. |

lonelyby JutildaComment: Mine is lonely too - at leaast yours gets out of the closet once in a while. Oh there has to be a story in this lovley photo. Calm scene, no people, no hectic day-to-day so therefore cleaning isn't happening today? It stands alone near the front door. why? Did we all go to the beach on the spur of the moment? Or (from the mind of a marine mom) did something awful happen to the guest who was to arrive but didn't? Probably I'm reading too much into s simple picture of things-around-my-house. |
