Popcorn Anyone?by backslashComment: The persons face over there is the most interesting part of the image - Could you crop differently to emphasize him? |

a Shadow is castby NazgulComment: Wow! Great picture! Off topic aside: Did you read CHoke by the guy who wrote Fight Club? Weird book but there is a scene in there which describes how some tribe of native americans would trace the cast shadow of a boy to get an image of what he would look like as a grown man. |

antipasta saladby Btrainx1Comment: Though technically well done (maybe a bit too light) this image is boring because there is no focal point, no center of attention, no leading lines to give me a hint where I am supposed to look. The viewers eyes will wander around for a few seconds, find nothing to pay attention to and think "I'm done, next picture". In a contest like this where the voting is done very fast, you want something of importance to make the viewer linger long enough to notice that the focus is indeed very good and the food is fresh and probably would taste good. 5 |

Old Family Recipeby dsidwellComment: Very nice - A lot of "stuff" is included in the image wothout maiking ot look cluttered. I think keeping the colors either bread colored or blue helped. The blue in the napkin us picked up by the blue in the flowers. I question the rolling pin - you don't need one to make french bread. Focus and DOF work to bring the attention right into the fresh bread flesh. 9 |
