Sandraby tfarrell23Comment: OK, I tend to not comment on shots that impact me negatively anymore, because of the backlash. And I do not mean to offend. But I just have to tell you that the first thing that hits me every time I have looked at this is that it is just plain odd to see what looks like a head floating around without a body! The colors are nice and saturated, but, the overall feel of the shot is that it is almost posterized. The lighting feels harsh and unflattering, though this could just be from pushing it to high-key. |

Fallsby madhatterComment: Hmmm....hmmm....
OK, well, though the color is bright, the highlights are quite blown-out, and overall it looks somewhat oversharpened, particularly in the upper part of the photo.
For portraits, though, I really prefer to see more of the subjects face, so perhaps a MUCH tighter crop on the face (wherever it is) would be a more powerful portrait presentation. |

Tiny Dancerby xylkeComment: The amount of "movement" in the photo makes it feel very unfocused. There is too much "busy" background for my taste; I would have preferred to see a much tighter crop on the lovely child. |

Soul Musicby ShannonLeeComment: A lovely girl, and not a bad concept. The lighting feels harsh and uneven, and your model doesn't really look comfortable in the shot. I like the simplicity of the white background. |

Blueby SJCarterComment: Though I am a big fan of high-key shots, I don't care for this one. I would love to have seen this as a more straightforward portrait. It's a nice tight crop, and the composition isn't bad, though I think I would have cropped even farther in on the right side.
This has almost an invisible man feel to it. I find the areas of red tones very "off-putting", and it seems kind of weird to see all those hairs floating around in space without really looking like they are attached to a face.

sunkissedby mcfly707Comment: This is very small, which, for me, makes it more difficult to formulate a comment on. The colors seem very saturated, and the lighting, at least from what I can tell, feels harsh. A tighter crop on the lips and flower might help the composition by cropping out the unflattering shadow on the left side. |

Three Upset Angelsby moonjeongComment: Closer!! I want to see more babies, and less "green"! This is just wonderful, but I think it would be much more powerful if it was a MUCH closer crop. The positioning of the babies is already a good composition, and zooming in on them could only help. |

Thinkin' Coolby Pug-HComment: Get closer, get closer, get closer!! I would love to have seen a much tighter crop on this lovely child. I think it would be much more powerful, bring out the colors much more, and be a much more dynamic composition. I love her posture, and the look on her face, this is a very nice capture! |
