Reflectingby KathycComment: I like the composition of the shot through the panes in the door. I would like to have seen more light on her, making her *more* of a focus in the photo. lhall-7 |

At Workby NitenComment: Nice shot - I like the composition and lighting, but I think that sweating and cursing are missing from the shot - that's what all the guys I know do when they are wrenching! lhall-8 |

Time Outby camelotnorthComment: I wouldn't have minded more of a close-up, but I kind of like this too, since it gives more of a feel for the situation, and the "moment". Composition and lighting are fine given the challenge of where you were taking the shot! lhall-8 |

Disagreementby stephanComment: I like the composition of this photo. It may just be the "lighting" but the photo looks like it was desaturated, which I think works great for the shot. lhall-8 |

Selling Lollipops To Surviveby alanfreedComment: This shot just makes me want to cry. It is such an emotional photo. Definitely "candid", it conveys sadness and quiet desperation. The sepia is perfect, and I think the composition is wonderful. I hope this places high. lhall-10 |

Private Thoughtsby KarenBComment: Very interesting shot, and perspective. At first glance, I thought this more representative of "teenage hood" than "childhood", but have since changed my mind. The composition and lighting are terrific, and the red of the silk cord on the keys is perfect for the photo. This is one of those photos that, the more I come back to it, the more I like it. Very nice work. lhall |

Childhood Wishesby Edward MainComment: Good lighting and DOF. The only thing that I don't like about the composition is the table at the upper and lower right hand corners. I find that to be just a little distracting. lhall |

Yank it!by liltoolComment: EEK! I can feel this in the pit of my stomach. My Dad always threatened to do this and the thought scared me to death. Good composition and lighting. Interesting perspective on "childhood". lhall |

Remember the paths you took as a yougin'?by MagsCoyoteComment: Is a "yougin' " something like a "yute" ??!! I like the feel, and the perspective of this shot. I don't know that it would convey "childhood" to me without the title, but the perspective of the grass does make you feel kind of "dwarfed" by the height, as a child might feel. lhall |

Play time is over by Frank BeckmanComment: A beautiful photo. Certainly makes me think of all those days when our parents called us in, but we just didn't want the day to be over ! lhall |
