The Fast & the Furiousby kebmod54Comment: Love this shot and your choice of duotoning. My only "gripe" is - I really want that second horse to come into full view! Nice shot though! |

Elderby severinComment: I like this very much. There is a good range of tone/contrast that makes it very appealing. DOF creates a nice soft background that plays well against the nice shapes of the shrooms. |

The Light Insideby xertionComment: Very Matrix-y! The colors are striking and the composition interesting, though I feel that there is too much blue on the left side, making it feel a little unbalanced to me. There is also a very pink area running alongside the left side of the black that I find very distracting. Interesting concept. |

Wildflowerby BudweezerComment: This looks like a zinnia to me. I am not crazy about b&w flower shots normally, but this one, I do like. The depth of field works well to emphasize the flower, but still retains a good range of tones that are a perfect background for "framing" the flower. I am not crazy about the border, though I honestly can't say what I would have done differently. |

Deep Thinkerby karmatComment: I love the duotoning, and the softness of this, but most of all, the expression! Such a serious little face. This is a shot to be proud of, for sure. Composition and lighting are great. |

50 Years Togetherby sagestudioComment: This is a beautiful shot, marred (for me) only by the small "spots" along the left hand side - they keep distracting my eyes. I think I would like to have seen just a touch more light on the upper hand. The composition works beautifully, as does the black background. I also love the concept. |

Catus Flowerby sherryk471Comment: I am not normally a big fan of flowers done in b&w, but this is lovely. I like your choice of duotoning, and also the composition. The dark area at the center of the flower seems to balance it well. I love the very feathery aspect of the flower, which lends itself well to this treatment. The lighting is probably the thing that really makes this shot for me, since it has produced a fairly good range of tone. Very nice. |

CA State Capital Domeby ChrisW123Comment: Every time I look at this shot, it just takes my breath away. The white looks silver to me, and the dark areas look like silver that is oxidized. I like the composition, but have to wonder what it would have looked like shot straight on center. The lighting is wonderful, giving the shot a marvelous antiqued feeling. Just my way of looking at it, of course, but this is great! |

Behind the Screenby PaigeComment: I really like this! The moment I saw it, it made me laugh. Makes me think of me and brothers when we were small. Love the duotoning that you chose, and LOVE that you shot through the screen - it gives the shot a very "painterly" and "old" feeling that I like very much. No doubt you will get some negative comments for this, but I hope that you are proud of this shot! |

flightby deceptiveComment: Not crazy about the border, and I'm not sure whether or not I like the totally black background, however the shot is interesting. I like the range of tones on the bird, but don't care for the way the black areas "bleed" into the background. I like the composition very much, and the light on the bird is pretty good. Gave you a pretty high score anyway (9) because I do feel the shot has pretty good visual appeal. |
