Designer Petsby JackoComment: OH! Creep me out! This is another shot that you don't even want to look at, but you just can't look away! What a concept, but I prefer kitties just the way they are, thank you! |

7-AUG-2003by GeneralEComment: An interesting shot, no question - good lighting and well composed, but does not have the impact that I would like to see with this challenge. |

Nuclear Winterby tops4mComment: Absolutely took my breath away the moment it came up on my screen. This shot actually gives me chills. Composition is compelling, as is the color treatment that you used. Can't wait to see how you did this. A visually engaging shot, no doubt, but it's one of those things that you don't want to look at, but you just can't help yourself. Terrific execution of the challenge. (Hopefully people realize that "nuclear" means "nuclear weapons", NOT "nuclear power"! |

Fast Forwardby magnetic9999Comment: I love this! The blue/white against the black is great, and the composition is very engaging. There seems to be a lot to look at, and yet the eye is always drawn to the light at the end. A very imaginative and well done shot. |

Togetherby jimmythefishComment: I like this shot, and I am a sucker for black and white. I feel like I want just a touch more brightness to this though. The overall feel is somewhat dark to me. I also find my eyes bouncing up and down trying to look at the hands, but then being drawn away by the more complex pattern of the flowers. |

Winter is Coming....by BigSmilesComment: I was thinking more "distant future" than "near future", but I do love this shot. Good DOF, and I very much like that the background has similar colors that enhance the subject well. I like the simple border, it works well with the shot. |

You will be forgotten.by wingyComment: Well done. I get a very distinctly sad, almost depressed feeling when looking at this shot. I really like the black and white (duotones??), it adds to the desolate feel. I particularly like the composition - the slope of the ground, and the bare trees create an unsettling feeling of starkness. Great execution of concept. |

light as feathersby shutterflyComment: Can't imagine why anyone would try to DQ this. I'm a sucker for feathers, and this shot is very interesting. I'm not entirely crazy about the border, but not grading down for it. I like that the feathers look like they were just blown away and landed in a group; I like the somewhat "high-key" approach, and the way some of the feathers blend into the background. . |

Strings of Contrastby TurbotechComment: This shot just holds a certain appeal for me. Rich color, the subject bleeding off into the negative space, the simple border, and your composition give it a kind of romantic, old-world feel. Really a lovely shot. |

contrastsby amsmythComment: There were more color shots in "contrasts" than I expected, but none jumped out at me the way this one did! It is just beautiful! Every single thing from depth of field to color and composition are great. Good eye and steady hand! This is a shot to be proud of. |
