I'm not particularly fond of photos of statues or statuettes, but I do like that you used a very light background for your shot; and the positive/negative feel does add some interest. I have to say, though, that overall, this shot does not have a lot of impact for me. I certainly agree with the concept that "family" is sacred, however I do not construe that concept, through this photo, to represent a "sacred place".

Sacred seems to mean quite different things to different people, so in that context, this does meet the challenge. I really like the soft focus, and the "warm glow" feeling of the shot. However, overall, the shot does not have a lot of impact for me. There is really nothing in particular that serves as a "subject" or place of interest to focus on.

I just like the abstractness of this shot. It has an almost eerie feel to it. I'm so glad you didn't put a border on this that would detract from it.

Nice abstract quality, with a composition that does sort of draw you in. Not crazy about the border, it keeps drawing my eyes away from the photograph.

One of my top picks simply from the standpoint of it being a pleasure to look at. I love the colors. Yyour focus seems to be perfect throughout the shot, something I am very jealous of!

Absolutely my top pick for this challenge for the following reasons: Breathtaking color, beautiful composition, meets the challenge perfectly IMO, totally has the WOW factor for me. Cannot wait to find out where this was taken. Congratulations, I don't know what you had to do to get this shot, but I hope I see it on the home page next week!
