Its the neck, shoulder and part of the chin. The head is tilted back and angled away so it gave that part a really wierd shape, so imagine the chin now is pointing into the page towards the top right and you dont really see it. Plus the shoulders were sort of in a shrug gesture making the neck appear shorter, and plus the shadows distorted the shapes even further... I cant say i planned it exactly like this, it just sorta happened :-)
Lighting came from one table lamp. I had a this and a color version but decided this had more punch to it.

i remember this shot from before, still amazing as always. Whilst this deserves better than the 65/531, your avg. commenter score was a 9.417! So at least a few people found the deeper meaning of the photo.

apples are brilliant but the background detracts from the experience. I can tell that this was shot in a tub or sink. Also photo as a whole could use a few more dark tones.
