The background was an orange piece of posterboard with a little PS to give it some punch. Lost some clarity in giving it punch; gotta work on my techniques :)

Remember, y'all, he's a FIREMAN, flying into a FIRE. Natural colors will not exist in such a situation. That's why I did what I did. Minimal post would have been a complete waste of time. This was what I wanted it to be. Thanks so much for the comments, though, next time I've got to figure out how to make YOU see the reason.

Ooh, definitely well framed. Maybe a hair too wide on the framing, and the flash was definitely not being friendly. I think a tighter crop would have been stronger.

It is definitely an indulgence, but the little reflections of light bother me here. I know they were out of your control, so don't take that as harsh criticism. I wonder if a polarizer would help with that? Keep up the good work!

Hey, I really liked this one - gave it an 8. I don't exactly know why, but the pattern combined with the colors made it appealing to me. Good job.

The centered composition makes this one feel much more static than I think is best for such an "explosive" picture :)

Nice smile, but I'm not sure how your "face could have been better" :)
