What an interesting story, Dawn! And a gorgeous photo! But. . .I'm wondering. . .how do they prove that you are a Chumash Indian or not? Is someone really at the base of the rock making sure no one but one of "them" gets to go up? That actually looks like quite an accomplished hike. It would be FUN! 576 feet isn't a ton of elevation. . . but when its practically at a 90 degree angle, it's a pretty credible hike!

I actually like the towers! But I'm weird. I love industrial photos of cement plants and urban buildings too :) But that water!!! Jeeeez. It's so blue! I think this photo is beautiful!

This is your view right outside your kitchen ??????? Ohhhhhhh, it's a good thing I love you so much, or I'd have to hate you :) What a gorgeous capture of a rainbow! I have tried and tried, but for some reason, rainbows never show up in the picture when I try to take one.

Oooooh, I am SO glad you jumped in ! Your black and white / sepia work is stunning. I am looking forward to seeing more of your work throughout 2008. As for this one. ..it is very cool. I love the darkness. . yet, you can still see detail and even texture in the walls and floors. And such an interesting composition seeing the two levels.

Ooooooh, I am looking so forward to seeing more of your photos from your weekly activities. Hockey offers so many awesome action photos. We even have a minor league hockey team here in San Antonio, "The San Antonio Rampage", and I LOVE going to the games whenever we can. But, being Texas and all, we wouldn't even think of having anything hockey related for the kids. I hope some day that changes, but for now, I'll just vicariously enjoy your kids' games :)

This is so awesome! And I have to chuckle about the "relativeness" of people's perspectives based on the culture of where they live. In Texas, this would not be considered a "mild" winter. We drop below 70, and we bring out the hooded down coats and love having a winter for a change :)

I love this photo. It just says so much in its simplicity!
