1.52 Smoke breakby MelethiaComment: Awesome! I CAN'T not comment on this. You know how I LOVE soldier photography! I love how the back lighting frames his head, almost like a halo, which is quite appropriate for any one of our soldiers :) It's so nice to see such relaxed enjoyment on a guy. Comforting in light of the extreme sacrifices soldiers are called on to make in the course of their jobs.

5 - My Favorite Daughterby BudComment: You can tell she's the princess. That look of total love and devotion says it all: "I'm the favorite and I know it" :) She is beautiful. And the moodiness of the black and white processing enhances the feel wonderfully.
Have a safe trip. I hope it is for pleasure and you have time to bring back some great black and whites to show us :)

#2 Passing Time by SonifoComment: I like this very much. It reminds me of a photo of Ursula's that I like alot of a girl silhouetted in front of a pretty window reading. There's something that looks really nostalgic and old timey about this that adds to the draw and feel of the photo. It makes me wish I was at home and had a little time to sit and read. It affects my heart that way :)

Broken Docksby HipychikComment: Yes, please post all the pics from this trip you have. They are so good! I love this wintery, cold scene. It is RAW and looks untouched, which gives it a feeling of aloneness and a place where you could do some serious thinking. The contrast on the water is so pretty. I'm certainly no expert on black and white, but I've heard they are always better if you have pure whites and pure blacks, which you have done so beautifully here! |

aloneby UrfaKComment: Yes. Yes. YES! This has such a moody artistic feel to it. This is very well done. He doesn't look hurried at all. He looks like he is deep in thought, just walking towards the light. I love it! Love it!

Studio Entranceby GermaineComment: I like it. The thumb doesn't do it justice. When you open it up, the low-key lighting adds an eeriness to it that is appealing and interesting. |

Feeding timeby MelethiaComment: Oh how I love this photo. I love how you have shown the person without a face. Somehow, it makes it more personal. . .maybe more universally appealing for some reason. The photo touches me because I see the same look in the eyes of the geese and ducks that I see on "my" geese and ducks at the park every day. They are almost like beloved pets. The black and white processing also gives the photo that urban look that I love so much. I just keep looking at it, and I like it more, the more I look :)

25 - Candle Light Serviceby BudComment: What a cool photo! It so draws you in -- and somehow -- it looks like a photograph of a different culture, tho I'm not sure why. Really interesting.

Spireby AliciaComment: Whoa, what a dreamy marbly sky. I like it. It almost looks like there is smoke billowing in the sky, and what interesting architecture. I was always fascinated by Frank Lloyd Wright when I studied his work in school.

Week 4by muz64Comment: Ohhhhhhhhhh. . what a sweet candid heartwarming moment. And a beautiful little girl. The photo is wonderful.
The only thing I would suggest is maybe a little more light on their faces and skin?? Maybe thru a levels layer so you don't blow out any of the rest of it.
But even as is. . .it speaks to me and touches my heart. . .so that's what its all abot :)
